AltiC(Alternative
communication)
software used to create alternative and
augmentative communication with original Czech pictures and
photographs. This program allows for pictures to be placed
into previously defined slots, but one can create one’s own
objects here as well. Pictures, text and even frames can be
arbitrarily transformed (enlarged, shrunk, letter font or
frame can be changed etc.). The created page can then be
printed on A4 and used over and over again as a
communicative tool that is no longer limited by the presence
of a computer.
Assignments used for AltiC

This is a tutorial and educational
program that concentrates on the recognition of symbols,
as well as their organization to form simple sentences.
The aim of this program is to introduce some new terms as
well as to give hints on how to form simple sentences with
the use of symbols making learning just that much more fun
with the use of pictures and charts.
Shapes and colors

contains nearly 50 different
assignments and games to teach one how to differentiate
between shapes and colors. Most of the individual
assignments have various variations.
Playing
with pictures

This program teaches
children to match pairs of pictures, to generalize
terms with the use of symbols, and to match an object
with its shadow or outline. The Program contains
assignments that require the child to sort objects
into groups, to determine sizes and directions, to
differentiate between the terms small, large, and
medium sized as well as between the terms up, down and
in the middle. The opportunity is given to sort
objects according to size or according to given
models. Last, but certainly not least, children can
enjoy putting well known stories, of different
difficulty levels, in chronological order.
22 games

A collection of games
that train logical thinking, memory and perception
as well as mathematical and language skills.

multimedia textbook a versatile learning tool.
The program allows for sentence analysis and
synthesis while reading and writing, as well as
for practice in the global methods of reading.
It offers approximately 1 000 words that
are divided into reading categories and an
alternative approach of division according to
level of difficulty.
